401(k) Plans for the 21st Century

Sound Pension Advisors is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor, registered in the state of Washington, that specializes in developing and maintaining "best in class" retirement plans, tailored to specific needs and circumstances of your company and your employees.

Our committment is to help you, the employer, make informed decisions regarding your retirement programs.  Decisions regarding plan design, investments and employee education.

By placing an emphass on fiduciary practices, our process not only helps you to reduce your liability, but also, gives you a framework for maintaining a retirement plan that truly benefits your employees.

When we work with you, our process includes:

  • Develop and/or Review Investment Policy Statement;
  • Fund Menu Design;
  • QDIA Selection/Review;
  • Ongoing Fund Monitoring;
  • Fee Analysis and Benchmarking;
  • Plan Goal Setting and Monitoring;
  • Plan Design;
  • Compliance Recommendations;
  • Targeted Employee Education, both Group and one on one Guidance;
  • Plan Simplification.

We prefer to use a 401(k) "open architecture" arrangement for our clients.  This allows you to use a wide range of investment choices and styles.  You can include best of the best mutual funds, customized "life-style" portfolios in your 401(k) plan, and even brokerage accounts. This also provides complete fee transparency for you and your employees.  Any revenue sharing is returned to the plan to be used to either offset fees, or as a special dividend for the participants.

As an introduction to our firm, we offer to sit down with you and complete a free, no obligation comprehensive review of your plan.  Just email me, Rick Anderson, at Rick@SoundBenefitsConsulting.com or call at (360) 391-3279 and request a meeting.  If your plan is great and I can't help you, I'll let you know and be on my way. (This Fiduciary Due Dilegence Report will be between 45 and 60 pages long.)
